Join us for the June DCI Meeting Thursday, June 2, from 12 pm - 2 pm at the Crozet Library. We will discuss the DCI's charter and mission in preparation for a 501c3 application. Developer Frank Stoner and others will give updates on recent county meetings and discuss the latest developments on the plaza.
The DCI Committee will meet on Thursday, May 4, at The Rooftop at Piedmont Place.* Agenda items include:
- Plaza update
- Updates on recent county and community funding meetings
This meeting is open to the public. If you plan to join, take the elevator in Piedmont Place up to Floor 4. (The Rooftop is opening just for this meeting, so the 4R button will not work.) On the 4th floor, walk around to your left, through the stairwell, and enter The Rooftop from there.
*Please note - the Crozet Library is closed.
Join us at Pro Re Nata for the DCI committee's final review of the Crozet plaza's schematic design. Landscape architecture firm Mahan Rykiel will present the design via GoToMeeting and seek final thoughts prior to the public unveiling later this Spring (date TBD). Food will be available to purchase at the 106 Street Food Truck onsite.
This meeting will focus on:
- The hiring of a landscape architecture firm for the public plaza.
- A timeline related to the design of the plaza and fundraising for this space.
- New policy changes of Albemarle County's that could have a positive impact on the Barnes Lumber redevelopment.
This is a public meeting. Participation is welcome and encouraged!
The next DCI meeting will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 12 pm - 1:30 pm at the Crozet Library. We encourage residents and business owners of the Crozet community to attend to help support and participate in the redevelopment on the former Barnes Lumber site.
